What is your dream?

The US Embassy in HK posted on its facebook a question "What is your dream?", which is pretty standard considering the Jubilee of the Martin Luther King speech, and has attracted overwhelming response in support of independence / separation from China. And the facebook page is in English and (mostly) Cantonese. Interesting.

And the facebook page mentioned that the Consul-General came from 弗吉尼亞州, and got overwhelming requests for changing the state's Chinese name to 維珍尼亞州 (which has been changed). I find this remark most interesting - "翻譯組朋友:弗者,不也。優美的翻譯不會改一個地名為「不吉」,請轉告 貴國的的傳譯主管,為「維珍尼亞州」正名!"
